DISCOVER THE POWER OF GROUPS AT FVCC
At Farmington Valley Counseling Center, our groups are designed to help participants build practical skills, strengthen confidence, and connect with others in a supportive environment. Whether your child needs help with emotional regulation, social skills, coping strategies, or connection with peers, we offer engaging, therapist-led groups for a range of ages and needs.
Our groups are:
Small and supportive (limited to 6–8 participants)
Led by experienced therapists who create a safe, encouraging space
Convenient with both in-person and online options
Affordable at $60 per session for ongoing groups, or $360 for 6-week specialty groups

INSURANCE INFORMATION:
Farmington Valley Counseling Center does not participate directly with insurance companies. However, we provide “superbills” with diagnostic and treatment codes (CPT Code 90853 for group therapy), which many clients submit for out-of-network reimbursement. Please contact your insurance provider directly to confirm your benefits and reimbursement rates. FVCC does not submit claims or contact insurance companies on behalf of clients.

A play-based group designed to help kids build friendship skills, confidence with peers, frustration tolerance, and success in group activities through games and interactive activities.

(Grades 3–5)
A Skill-Building Group for Kids in Grades 3–5 Focused on Emotion Regulation and Coping Skills
A supportive, activity-based group for kids with big feelings who need help building coping skills, calming strategies, emotional awareness, and self-control.

A structured, supportive group for middle school students who need help with conversation skills, social cues, friendship-building, group interaction, and managing social stress.
